Strainers are used to take debris out of the desired media. They come in different body designs and material types: "Y" Design, Basket, Duplex, Automatic (Self-Cleaning). They are available in various body materials, including Bronze, Carbon & Stainless Steel, and Cast or Ductile Iron. Pressure ratings are classified by the size and material rating of the body; the options are class 150, 250, 300, 600, 1500, and 2500.
The strainer's elements can be screen or holes depending on the degree of straining required; the different options are either 20, 30, 40, 60, 100 mesh or with hole diameters of 1/32", 3/64", 1/8", and 1/4".
